Thank you for taking the time to use this resource! Our Healthy Communities 2030! Team has developed a series of wellness kits to support year-round health and wellness.
This B-WELL Winter Wellness Kit is a follow up from our B-WELL@HOME Wellness Kit, Summer Wellness Kit, and Fall Wellness Kit to support our youth, adult, and older adult populations in our communities!
2020 has presented challenges throughout the globe; our community took a consierable hit when we lost our dear friend & wellness warrior, Phil Haberstro. Phil passed away in November 2020; Healthy Communities 2030! will continue in his honor. We dedicate this wellness kit and all of our current activities to you, Phil. We love and miss you.

Eating well is not a punishment – it is a way to fuel your body. Enjoy your favorite holiday treats in moderation and understand how your plate should look
Vegetables: kale, collard greens, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, pumpkin, squash, cauliflower, eggplants, green beans, cucumbers, celery, vegetable broth
Fruits: raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples, grapes, oranges, bananas
Grains: yams, peas, brown rice, corn on the cob, refried beans (non-fat), whole grain crackers, whole grain cereal/bread/pancakes/waffles (replace syrup with peanut butter and/or bananas
Protein: boneless/skinless chicken breast, turkey breast, pork tenderloin, turkey/ham slices, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, clams, fish (salmon, tilapia)
Dairy/Healthy Fats: shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, provolone), coconut/oat milk, hummus, walnuts, avocado, cashews, pecans, walnuts

Tobacco Use & Cessation Support
As of May 2020, the sale of flavored tobacco/e-cigarette products has been banned in New York State. This important legislation may encourage some to seek cessation (the process of ending/quitting) supports.
